Assessment: How often do schools need to assess an ECT's progress and who is responsible for submitting these reports?
Each ECT must have a progress review written for them each term and a formal assessment at the mid and end points of induction. This applies to all ECTs, part-time or full-time. It is the induction tutor’s responsibility to write these reports and submit them to the appropriate body via ECT Manager. ECTs must make comments on their reviews and formal assessments are signed off by the headteacher.

ECT training and support: What training do we need to arrange for our ECTs?
Schools must ensure that all of their ECTs have access to a training programme based on the DfE's Early Career Framework. You can choose to register your ECTs with a training provider for this or you may wish to deliver your own training programme.
Using a training provider for your ECTs is fully-funded by the DfE and already meets the learning requirements set out in the Early Career Framework. The appropriate body doesn't need to fidelity check this training route.
If you choose to deliver their own ECT training, the training you plan to deliver to your ECTs and mentors will be subject to a fidelity check by the appropriate body. This fidelity checking will incur additional charges.

Induction setup: How do we register our ECTs with Inspiration AB?

We'll let you know once we've authorised your school registration and you're able to start registering your ECTs.

Induction setup: I have an ECT joining my school having started their induction elsewhere. Do I register them as normal?
Please register the ECT as normal via ECT Manager. Please also ensure that the head teacher or induction tutor contacts the ECT's previous appropriate body/bodies for all of their previous induction records (progress reviews and assessments) and upload them to the ECT's 'documents' section for our review. This will allow us to determine how much of their induction remains to be served and ensures a shared understanding of their progress so far.

Induction setup: Who is responsible in school for ensuring ECTs are registered with an appropriate body?
The headteacher or induction tutor should nominate an appropriate body and register their ECTs for induction.
